Portland, OR (April 7, 2016) – Cat Hospital of Portland and Portland’s Animal Rescue & Care Fund (ARCF) are partnering to present “Art From the Heart.” For the month of April, Cat Hospital of Portland will be holding a silent auction with artwork donated by local artists to raise money for ARCF and their very special rescue kitty, “Bronco Billy” who needs surgery. The “pawsitively” fun closing reception will be held at Cat Hospital of Portland on Friday May 6 from 6pm to 8pm-- wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
ARCF rescues, shelters, and cares for homeless animals and places them in permanent responsible homes. ARCF took in Bronco Billy in 2014 (named after the Denver Broncos who won the Super Bowl that year). Billy has a serious medical issue that requires surgery. The proceeds from the Art Show will fund Billy’s much-needed procedure and help him along his journey to find a forever home.
"ARCF is compassionate and generous with their care for rescued felines,” said Dr. Elizabeth Colleran, owner Cat Hospital of Portland. “The staff at Cat Hospital of Portland is proud to help with their work and promote local artists whose kindness is reflected in their gifts of creativity."
The closing reception on May 6th is free and open to the public. For more information about the event, contact Wendy Stilwell at: (503)-235-7005.
About Cat Hospital of Portland
Founded in 2004, Cat Hospital of Portland is a full service medical and surgical facility for cats. As one of the pioneer feline-only practices in Portland, Cat Hospital of Portland is a designated American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) Cat Friendly Practice (CFP). CFP-designated practices reduce the stress associated with veterinary visits, improve the quality of care provided, and support the veterinary team so they consider a cat's distinct needs and behaviors.
